NVS
The aim of this course is to equip new Named Veterinary Surgeons with the knowledge and skills needed to function effectively as an NVS from day 1. Taking place over a period of 2 days and using a problem-based approach, this course explores the role of the NVS and how to utilise existing skills in the NVS environment. You will be introduced to sources of information, advice and support to aid in development of the required skills.
The Home Office requires that new named veterinary surgeons also attend modules E1, L, K theory and E2, and PILA as appropriate depending on the species they are working with. The PPL module is also recommended. Please note that these modules are not covered during the NVS course because they are widely available elsewhere.
